Rafting Tour In Iran

5 Days/ 4 Nights

Rafting or boating in the roaring waves is one of the fascinating branches of tourism that is gaining more and more fans every day. Rafting boats have been the simplest form of water transport and have been used to move people and cargo for thousands of years. In rafting, passengers board special inflatable boats and travel along the river, watching the scenery and villages and forests and mountains and enjoying the roar of the waves. Today, this exciting activity has become one of the pastimes of young people and families around the world.
The best time for rafting in Iranian rivers is from May to November. In the following, we will introduce a number of suitable rivers for rafting.

Zayandehrood River

This river is one of the most important central rivers of Iran. Since Zayandehrood is more watery in spring, it is better to travel to it this season to experience more excitement. Zayandehrood has three convenient rafting routes, the shortest of which is 3 km and takes 30 minutes. The waves of  Zayandehrood River are at levels 2 and 3, which means that it is suitable for adventurous tourists who are physically and mentally healthy and are between 12 and 50 years old. Of course, the Zaman Khan Bridge section is dangerous and is not recommended for boating.

Haraz River

This river is located in Mazandaran province and in the north of Iran. The route of Mirza Kuchak Khan Jangali Park to Amol is 4 km and rafting takes about 2 hours. The degree of waves of Haraz river before Goznak is 2 and 3 and it is suitable for most healthy and adventurous people. However, parts of the river with waves of more than 4 are suitable for rafting heroes and adventurous boaters and are not recommended for beginners.

Sefidrood River

The nature of the bustling Sefidrood River is very beautiful and has a very pristine rafting path that passes through mountains, plains, farms and villages. Herzlville’s 3,000-year-old cedar and Manjil Dam are some of the attractions in this area. This river, which is the second longest river in Iran, has waves with grades 2 and 3, which make it suitable for rafting and kayaking.

Cesar River
This river is one of the tributaries of Dez river in Lorestan province and due to its 2- to 4 degree waves, it is suitable for both beginners and professionals.

Arvand River
This vast river, located in southwestern Iran, in the province of Khuzestan, has a very exciting route for rafting. The length of this busy route is 20 km.

Ker River
The Karaj River, which originates from the southern mountains of Alborz, is more suitable for professional rafting and kayaking due to its 2nd to 4th degree waves.

Sirvan River
This river is located in the Horaman region of Kurdistan and has a long and winding route that is suitable for both professionals and beginners and kayakers. This river has 3 to 5 degree waves and beginners can also go to it.

Armand River
Armand, which is the main source of Karun River and is located in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, has a 20 km rafting route. The waves of this river are 2 to 4 degrees and as a result, the general public can go to this beautiful area, which is located in the heart of the Zagros Mountains, with professional rafting guides. On the rafting route you will pass many villages where you can stop and relax.

Rafting

Of course, it is important to remember that rafting is by no means an individual and simple activity, and it must be done with professional tours or a professional guide, so that no one gets bittersweet with bad things. Most travel agencies have rafting tours that, in addition to accompanying a supervisor and a professional guide, also provide the right equipment to make your trip safe, exciting and memorable.

Having said that, we must add that this is the best detention for ecotourism in Iran.
