Kish Island
Kish, Pearl of Persian Gulf, is a beautiful and spectacular island with an area of 90 square kilometers in south of Iran that attracts annually more than 2 million tourists with coral beaches, crystal-clear waters and pleasant weather. The underground city of Kariz, located on Kish Island, covers an area of 10,000 square meters and is 2,500 years old. The city is located at a depth of 16 meters from the ground, its roof is 8 meters high and there are corals and oysters with birth certificate for 500 million years old. Recreational facilities of Kish include beach and parks, sandy beaches, coral reefs, the zoo, the Kish Birds Garden, recreational ships and the Greek Ship.
Greek ship
The ship moving from the port of Imam to Greece got shipwrecked in Kish in the year 1966. The 80-day attempt to rescue it turned out to be ineffectual, therefore it has remained there and created an eye-catching view.
Greek ship was built in Port Glasgow, Scotland, in 1943. Greek ship had been achieved between various British and Iranian owners, the last of which was a Greek.
Harireh City
Harireh is an old city and empty of inhabitants. Its name has been taken from a queen’s name. Monuments in the city are the mansion, the baths and the remains of the mosque of Hariri.
